This song came together when we were creating the 2nd Jazz Mafia Symphonic-Hip-Hop work, “The Emperor Norton Suite”, in 2010-2011. Teeko brought in his tune “Free Ya Soul” and thought it would be nice to orchestrate out the parts and possibly add some things to it. Chris Mcgee wrote the “Breathe” hook, that inspired Jeanne to write her beautiful arrangement and the rest is history. We’re really happy to finally bring you the finished version of this song that includes some of the deadliest musicians in the Bay Area. Enjoy!
