Straight from the imagination of Jazz Mafia co-director Trance Thompson, this re-envisioning of Stevie Wonder's classic protest song "You Haven't Done Nothin" was created all remotely in three short weeks, including the video. 20 of the most respected musicians on the West Coast are featured "Doing the Work" plus a few special surprise guests to finish it off.
A Note From Trance: As citizens we sometimes feel powerless. Our fear, our pain, our desire to be liked, our conditioning to be polite - all of it culminating in our silence and inertia. Over 45 years ago, Stevie Wonder reminded us that through our art we can spark conversation, change and maybe even a revolution. We just have to stand up, speak up and wake up the masses. This song is just one of many steps we will take to do just that. We are far from powerless. It’s time to do the work!
