I came up with this arrangement for Jazz Mafia's annual Stevie Wonder Birthday celebration back when Realistic Orchestra was the band performing as the house band with various talented guest vocalists.
For this version, I didn't stray too far from the original but I did add an extra layer of brassy "grit", almost as if the Charles Mingus band was joining Stevie! I also added a major left turn with the interlude that happens after the choruses and adds a lot of harmonic variety.
