The only way to get through
Is to go through
That’s all we can do
Cause there’s no turning back
Gotta stay on track
Til we get to the light
At the end of the tunnel (Ay)
I see the end of the struggle (Ay)
We’re gonna be alright
I see the light
I see the light
Viveca:
Head to the sky
Eyes on the prize
I’ve gotta shine - hey
Dreams over fears
Let your worries all disappear
Lilan:
Cuz we’re all that we got
If we lean on each other
Then we got a shot, ay
We gotta work it out
If we want change to come
Tym:
When it’s over we gon’ kick back
Laugh, have a kiki
Look at the scars
As a sign of the vic’try
Keith:
The whole world’s got some problems
What we gonna do to solve ‘em
Joe:
Sometimes we don't try, thinking we'll lose
But you fail couldn't take a chance, Boo Hoo
Natalie:
We’re living just one day at a time
To keep up a higher vibe
[CHORUS] Ad libs (Viveca)
Yvette:
In the darkest night
You struggle so hard to fight
Dare to open your eyes
Other side is paradise
Natty:
The light from the horizon of our brand new day
Is coming our way
Sarah:
They tried to bury us (Rise up)
They didn’t know that we were seeds
Erin:
Darkness cannot drive out darkness
Only light can
Hatred cannot drive out hate
Only love can
Olivia:
Worked our way up from the past
Sho do know our strength gon’ last
Trance:
We’ve been through so much drama
From slave trauma to Obama
But like our dads and mamas
We’ll keep marchin’ til nirvana
[CHORUS] Ad libs (Keith & Yvette)
Chris Burger (CB)
Be sure to get ur ticket
Your 2 kids,
Ur padnah and ur white picket
Good livin’ when the vision is specific
Divine state of mind
And a fine place to visit
Michael Blake
We’ve come so far yet still Looks so far away
But each and everyday We keep it pushing
To make change So
Don’t be muzzled, befuddled, disrupted
By distractions - Maintain The Mission
Your motive and passion
Mani Draper
Objects appear closer - Goapele
Get to the cake
I’ll never need a chauffeur
Self-drive to 10 and 2
Please don’t make me expose ya
Made slaves out of metaphors
We built another building
When they bolt the door
Tommy Soulati
It makes you wonder why we be getting so meta for
Deep Love for the people, hope at the core
Whatever we can imagine
It’s really up to us to manifest and manage
Then repair the damage damnit
Dan Wolf
Keep lapping racists cause you know this is a marathon
But short term memory’s a ghost like puffing marijuan
Testing mental health
Rest and use your breath
Essential right mind
It’s dark right before you let your light shine
Seneca
Panthers programs
Local slow jams
Parks and positives
Sparks and politics
Through all the struggles and decisions
We can't understand
No need for medals or no ribbons
Just defeat the man
Tommy Soulati
There it go (what)
It’s the light at the end of the tunnel (Oh)
Choose to knuckle through don’t buckle
Just follow the light
Just follow the light
Meet me on the other side
There it go (what)
It’s the light at the end of the tunnel (Oh)
Choose to knuckle through don’t buckle (yeah)
Just follow the light
See ya on the other side
Solas:
It guess it takes deadly disease from overseas
And stolen breath from a knee on neck (black death)
Can’t be here no more
Got my bags packed full with passport sittin’ right the door (the door)
AJ:
Got the bigger picture on my mind
And I know I’ll get through it this time
Kyle:
Clear vision is a choice
The channel is your voice
Rich:
Why do we cry about those who lost their way
If you can see the light
Maybe you can help them find their way
Yvette:
Set your hands in mine
You won’t walk alone
Our hearts stay strong
Eyes ahead
And carry on
[CHORUS] Ad libs (Rich & Yvette)
Soulati:
CHIN UP - There’s goes the light, I see the light, Move towards the light
At the end of the tunnel (Natty: Keep your chin up)
CHIN UP - Look up ahead, Get out your head, Get through instead
To the end of the struggle (Keith: Keep your head up)
CHIN UP - There’s goes the light, I see the light, Move towards the light
At the end of the tunnel (Natty: You gotta, gotta get out of your head)
CHIN UP - Look up ahead, Get out your head, Get through instead
To the end of the struggle (Keith: Hold your chin toward the sky)
Amber:
Get up [4x]
Move up [4x]
Look up [4x]
Sólás:
CHIN UP - We can't leave the country no way
Borders closed like Sunday
But watch me, I’m amazing
CHIN UP - I’ll guess I’ll stay and teach these children
And unpack with heads up,
So tired but they blessin’ me
Jefferson:
CHIN UP - Keep your chin up (Ay)
You are not alone
Sarah & Trance:
We’ll make it out of the rubble
And be the good kind of trouble
Keith & Tym:
The only way to get through
Is to go through
Amber:
So whatever it is - Get up
Kyle:
There goes it, there goes it, there goes the light
Keith:
And we are going to be alright
Amber:
Get up [4x]
Move up [4x]
Look up [4x]
We can stand til the end of the struggle
Viv:
Go through

O say can you see
through the wildfire smoke and the haze
can you still hear your brother say
I can’t breathe
Through the dawn’s early light
a child wakes up in a cage
Are you proud?
Tears streaming down in broad stripes
she looks up at bright stars
and dreams of a better life
Tear the ramparts down
It’s twilight now
And the rocket-launching, fully automatic,
high capacity magazine
How many rounds do you need
to stand against tyranny?
How many?
O say does that star-spangled banner
waver in a maelstrom of lies?
Does it still fly?
Does it still fly
Fly over a land of compassion
Home of immigrants and freed slaves
O say
Say it’s not too late
to be who we said we’d be
If you’re still brave
Oh please
say

Not My President (3X)
Rap (excerpt from "Burn" by Antique Naked Soul)
The pretense Is we don’t want a home in fact we neglect the very joint we light up L’s in ride and die to protect. If they don’t see it in our eyes they’ll see it in our protests. If they don’t hear it in our words wont understand the process of progress. We need water shit Babylon is burning. There’s broken glass smoke and piss everywhere we’re turning. No regard no regret no respect no one learning. We’re armed with street knowledge watch your back we’re emerging. It’s clouds of pitch black smoke beginning to strangle. Oh say muthafuckas you see the stars mangled? Global warming is about to take its turn on the planet and dammit ain’t nobody even concerned. We seem too intent to holding on to what we’ve earned. Living in oblivion obviously we never learn. We could have it all y’all only if we had the nerve. Operation demolition around the curve. Better swerve. Bet it burns

By Trance and The Doom Patrol
Denigrated, still we make it
Battle everyday to survive
Daily struggle, workin double
While so-called patriots turn a blind eye
They don’t see us, but want to be us
’til they’re calling to report a crime
They must know they’re running out of time
Do you keep working
When nobody understands
Do you stop working
When breaking you’s the only plan
Is it all worth it
You’re holding up your hands
But you can
Never surrender, never surrender
On a mission - Hey
On a mission
Demolition - Tear down the wall ya’ll
On a mission - Hey
On a mission - Oh people
Demolition - Fools about to fall now
Fools about to fall
(We’ll) Wait in line, won’t be denied
Won’t give in to your suppression
Though you swear that all is fair
We don’t care
We’re done with your deception
Now the script you try to flip
Like you’re the ones who need 2 be afraid
While in the streets and on our knees
You condemn us to an early grave
Do you keep working
When so many say we’ll fail
Do you stop working
When it seems its been to no avail
Is it all worth it
We’ve been through so much hell
But we can
Never surrender, never surrender
CHORUS
Liars - we’re coming for ya
Cheaters - we’re coming for ya
Oppressors - we’re coming for ya
Power - we’re coming for ya
Do you keep working
Try to overcome
Do you stop working
When thinking people act so dumb
Is it all worth it
This pandemonium
Never sur-
Never sur-
Never surrender
CHORUS
We’re coming for ya
And we will rise

We are amazed but not amused
By all the things you say that you'll do
Though much concerned but not involved
With decisions that are made by you
But we are sick and tired of hearing your song
Tellin' how you are gonna change right from wrong
'Cause if you really want to hear our views
You haven't done nothin'
Ow
It's not too cool to be ridiculed
But you brought this upon yourself
The world is tired of pacifier
We want the truth and nothing else
And we are sick and tired of hearing your song
Tellin' how you are gonna change right from wrong
'Cause if you really want to hear our views
You haven't done nothin'
Jackson 5 join along with me say
Do the work - hey hey hey
Do the work - whoa whoa whoa
Do the work - mm-mm-mm
Do the work - naw naw naw
Do the work - bum bum bum
Do the work
We would not care to wake up to the nightmare
That's becomin' real life, mm
But when misled who knows a person's mind
Can turn as cold as ice, um-hmm
Why do you keep on making us hear your song
Tellin' us how you are changin' right from wrong
'Cause if you really want to hear our views
You haven't done nothin'

He told us that we'd win
Just put our faith in him
Cause he would never lie.
Made America
hateful again
Made our republic die
We fall divided by a coward his minions cruel
the glass is shattered like the people who’s lives they rule
half wise half fool
Some thought he was gods gift
they liked his style of grift
And bought in to the con
They kiss the ring
This phony king
And bow before the Don
Filled every heart with rage
put children in a cage
and laughed as they cried
The "greatest" words
They're only words
Until there's genocide
And watch the masses as there buried in shallow graves
The real virus stands before us and Trumps this plague
Unwise all fool

Ladies and gentlemen
boys and girls
gather ‘round!
The circus is coming back to town!
Pack a lunch. I have a feeling this is gonna be a long one…
The wagon is almost here…
Wheels wobbly, ready to fall off at any moment…
and of course, as always…
the clown is driving.
Let me drop my two cents on this madness
direct from the state of the panic
bandanas and sanitizers
won’t do nothing against this virus
trying to wipe us off the planet,
God damn it
it’s mad contagious
been plaguing us since the ages of earliest civilizations
engrained in the brain
amazingly hard to contain or erase it
the infection causes hatred
and blindness to the plight of darker people, man, it’s basic
depleted human kindness is the basis of how we define a racist
look at the pigs who walk like humans
but their blood is cold as night air
they hunt in packs, killers trained and strapped, they never fight fair
strangle a man for nothing and give the camera that dead eye glare
animals on hind legs like a circus in a nightmare
except when you open your eyes
Surprise!
the clown is standing right there
in the White House spewing lies out
got the planet feeling quite scared
a psychopathic ringmaster, orange skin and toupee
but the danger’s in the groupies who’ll do whatever the fuckin dude say…
who let the clown take the wheel?
disasters coming faster, man, it’s getting real
elect a clown, expect a circus
the clown is the distraction, the action’s behind the curtains
who let the clown be the driver
it been the wild west, but now this shit is getting wilder
elect a clown, expect a circus
elect a clown, expect a circus
Why’s the sound this clown makes when he opens up his gullet
like a battle cry for bigots with automatics and mullets?
Like strings to dangerous puppets
the white supremacists love it
policemen with grudges encouraged to murder us right in public.
The rest of us hear his voice as the sound of the seven trumpets
of revelation
a cancer to human civilization
a threat to more than the nation
but people ran out of patience
we got tired of waiting
we set fire to the stations
ain’t no fear, it’s just frustration
cuz this younger generation
are fighting for their lives, it ain’t up for negotiation
they ain’t with discrimination or this racist administration
so they’re ready for confrontation if it means total transformation.
‘Cause every year increases, more innocent people slain or in chains
and so their deaths ain’t in vain, we keep saying their names
blocking the lanes, shaking up things, blazing the flames
until the powers that be recognize we ain’t playin no games!
Crooked cops up to the top clown elected
the people want change and respect and ain’t gonna request it.
After so long with knees on our necks what you expected?
It been like 400 years, 8 minutes and 46 seconds…
who let the clown take the wheel?
disasters coming faster, man, it’s getting real
elect a clown, expect a circus
the clown is the distraction, the action’s behind the curtains
who let the clown be the driver
it been the wild west, but now this shit is getting wilder
elect a clown, expect a circus
elect a clown, expect a circus

Heard the thrumpin'
And the hummin'
Of the helicopter comin'
Must be sumthin'
Unbecomin’
My perception’s obstructed
Last time I heard it
Was the verdict
That was blurted
On the circuit
When our justice was deserted
And the city erupted
To be honest I’m afraid of what lies around the bend
Is it danger? Is it trouble again?
I can’t take another breach of freedom against a friend
My people, my kin
Oh look at the babies on the front line (Oh)
(Are we standing on the front lines)
(On the front lines, yeah)
Oh is this a sign of the times (Oh)
(Are we gonna heed the sign)
(Sign of the times, of the times)
So many cases
Different faces
Where my race is
Being chased
We can’t eradicate the pace
If the intention is powered
If you’re a hero it don’t matter
They won’t see you through the chatter
But the melanin will shatter
At the hands of a coward
To be honest I’m afraid of what lies around the bend
Is it anger? Or a riot again?
I can’t take another plea of “he scared me” against my kin, my brother, will it end?
CHORUS
(Insert Mani Draper)
You got a voice so use it
Don’t be afraid to do it
You want the change, pursue it
(We no joke)
(We woke folk)
Don’t turn your head you saw it
Don’t let the fear withdraw it
C’mon embrace the raucous
(We no joke)
(We woke folk)
They see ya stance is solid
Determination you got it
We bout it
(We no joke, we woke folk)
(We no joke, we woke folk)
(We no joke, we woke folk)
CHORUS
(We no joke, we woke folk)
4x
Keep Striving

Hey kids ready to go to school and see your teacher die?
It’s just so 45 don’t have to be the fall guy
He’s stressed about the dwindling economy
He’s taking it out on all the nations progeny
Feeding your parents to Lady Rona
Who’s gonna enjoy with some Corona
What can I say I’m a hungry ass bitch
Hypnotized his mind like a crazy ass witch
Playing his strings so he’ll do my bidding
Keeping his base always transmitting
Filling the news with crazy mutations
Rona and Trump rule the nation!
Hey! Ho! Whapadido let's go back to school
Rona, Trump and their mutt Devos molecules of misrule
We’ll do whatever it takes to make our boss win in November
We won’t give a fuck about the death toll till December
Lady Rona loves the drama from the throne inside your body
Ordaining you to take your time, finding that antibody
Pro-test, o-ppress, Hol-i-day Inn
You see, if you keep acting up, then Rona gonna win.
“These kids can’t be on constant vacation
Abused, hungry, in stagnation
Online isn’t where a child’s minds aligned”
“You’re right” say’s Rona “what a bind
“Too late for you Trump set up the play
Sending his team straight into the fray
Opened the tattoo shops and bars
Ignored the rules, refs and stars!
While Rona makes that death toll soar
Riding Trump like a fat ass boar
Here’s how you make useful idiots fall
Elect a blow-hard full of air like a beach ball!”
Now Rona got you bitchasses in a checkmate
A catch twenty-two, damned if you do or don’t political stalemate.
Hey! Ho! Whapadido let's go back to school
Lady Rona, Trump and their mutt Betsy molecules of misrule
We’ll see how much more of this you can condone before you vote in November
How bad you gonna let that death toll get by the time we get to December?
YOYOYO Special shot out to all you trolls hiding behind your screens spouting hate
Lady Rona is watching you at night as you masturbate
Angry and lonely in your dismal basement chamber
Posting from your faceless account with no content you ain’t nothing but a hater.

This election,
will be a game of misdirection
mask or no mask
Class is in session
Canada gave 2k a month/ We get repression
our presidents/ malevolent/
we can't wait to get a better one
That old Meglaton/ stealing a paraplegics peloton,
we now stand divided, when Obama had us trying
pick an issue we got tissues ,an a dopamine hit
we get no justice, but 65 rolls of TP
We hit that panic button, Trump was golfing on TV,
If money buys elections, what the fuck we voting for,
but we have to
Biden's not my guy/ but we have to,
not as shitty as Trump
and we know/ that's the sad truth,
we all want the pie they give us crumbs we can try,
Angela Davis said to vote she's seen many multiply
it's the future four years/ it could be stuck on repeat,
We pressing delete,
hitting the streets,
let's all speak,
change a life in a week,
we fight for the meek
I write like I speak,
unite all beings,
like a night at the beach,
we can't accept the status quote
we take a step or a leap,
change the system, go in deep,
All are wolfs or a sheep,
awake or asleep,
Snakes in the grass, we make em retreat,
the love will never die, why were singing for peace
Scheming on a better country
without death and disease,
we are a family, we make this planet better for bees,
all souls deserve love
and to conquer their goals.
Friends or ya foes, compose pros, exposin' your woes
no need to reload, take it slow
just go with the flow,
Nobody planned for Pandemic
So I'm letting you know
this election could be the last stand
hates last blow
from Zimbabwe to Glasgow/ we need fair elections
and that's so/
bringing you back like lasso
flame still fly/ freedom still rung/
old and young
heroes unsung//
tracing where we come from.....

“As 2019 wound down I started conversations with many of my core collaborators about the upcoming election and the urgent need to take action. Artists have been at the core of so many of our nation's critical social movements and political crises. Our country is more divided now than at any time in recent history and we need to find alternative ways to reach the hearts and minds of the citizens of our country. People hear their government talking all the time but they listen and feel music. Good songs possess the magic to change people's emotions. With "Say Something, Do Something" we were directly inspired by artists like Stevie Wonder who've managed to take strong stances on socio-political issues while at the same time enclosing those sometimes hard to swallow messages in brilliant, catchy, inspiring songs.
